Canned Heat Concert Recorded Live In Europe

A very cool and under rated blues band who clearly delivered the goods in concert.

September 28th, 2018 Okay Sunday, bring it. "Together we'll stand -- Divided we'll fall -- Come on now people let's get on the ball and work together" #accurate So, how about we get our blues-jam-chill on with a little live Canned Heat for "Live Vinyl Loveliest" on a beautiful Sunday morning?! Canned Heat is such an interesting band to me. Their influence is actually pretty significant given that their commercial success and exposure was almost singularly attributed to their appearances at Monterey and Woodstock. I was well aware of them at a young age, but my years with Tom certainly elevated my respect for them in many ways in that he was often inspired by many of their interpretations of blues classics. A little history for you on the name Canned Heat -- "Canned Heat" the band name was apparently a take off on Tommy Johnson's 1928 release of "Canned Heat Blues" which of course was about an alcoholic's desperation for a drink. So much so that he resorted to drinking Sterno which was often referred to as "Canned Heat". So there ya go, you're now smarter than you were on Saturday! This is a pretty cool record performed and recorded through Europe and released in 1969. Petty good sounding as well ... if that matters to you. Apparently it's also available on 8 Track. :-)
