John Mayall's Bluesbreakers Live in 1967

One of the most storied rhythm sections of all time.

It is incredibly fortunate that these recordings exist at all, let alone were in any shape to be released.

October 4th, 2018 Good morning live music lovers. Today I want to continue on with the "it's okay if it doesn't "sound good" theme." Todays "Live Vinyl Lovefest" is the proof point for that line of thinking, because if you subscribe to the school of thought that says it has to "sound good" for you to even consider listening to it or enjoying it, honestly you're missing out on all the potential for striking gold. This is an extremely rare set of recordings captured by an ardent fan from Holland who was willing to sneak in a recorder and capture these 13 songs in 5 different nightclubs throughout London in 1967. Considering that the line up of John Mayall, Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood would only be in tact for about 4 months total, this is a rare vein of gold. It is incredibly fortunate that these recordings exist at all, let alone were in any shape to be released. They allow you to time travel back to the club scene in London in the 60's and given the method with which they were captured are surprisingly clear with regard to being able to read what this incredible cast of musicians are playing. Peter Green is a true stand out on these recordings.
