A fantastic release long after the fact that was worth the wait.
There were no live recordings released while Marc was alive in that it is reported that he felt it unfair to ask his fans to by the same music twice.
September 27th, 2018 And ... we're back!! Okay, let's pick up the "live-viny-lovefest" where we left off before we were so rudely interrupted with my international work duties! Here's a rare one for ya. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of this 40th Anniversary deluxe edition double album of Marc Bolan and T. Rex from 1977, complete with exclusive turquoise colored vinyl, released on "Record Store Day" in 2017. A MUST have if you were a Marc Bolan fan. There were no live recordings released while Marc was alive in that it is reported that he felt it unfair to ask his fans to buy the same music twice. :-) Luckily this live recording has been released from the "Dandy In The Underworld" tour; his last. And while it's pretty rough around the edges in terms of mix etc. there is no denying the spirit and commitment of this pioneering artist of the glam rock movement in the 70s. Few may know this, but he was a HUGE influence on Steve Clark with Def Leppard. Examine many of Steve's on stage moves compared to Marc Bolan's and the influence is clear for all to see. RIP and thank you Marc Bolan.
